Alabama-based Bayer Properties LLC announced it will lead leasing and property management at the Eastgate Shopping Center on Park Avenue at White Station. Some of the retailers in the 450,000-square-foot East Memphis office and retail center include Ashley Stewart, The Fresh Market and TJ Maxx.
“Eastgate is in the heart of East Memphis,” said DeeDee Shashy, Bayer’s top leasing producer in 2020. “It makes for a really great centralized location. Even though I grew up in Germantown, I always went (to Eastgate) because it had great daily needs players.”
Currently, construction is underway at Eastgate for a 7,200-square-foot space that will house The Juicy Crab. Shashy said Bayer is working on deals for two of the center’s big-box locations, but she said nothing has been finalized.
Bayer also manages the Germantown Collection shopping center – which includes Trader Joe’s and The Container Store – as well as Carriage Crossing in Collierville.
“Bayer is well-known as a leader in developing, leasing and managing outdoor, mixed-use lifestyle centers,” said Doug Schneider, executive vice president of operations and marketing at Bayer.
“What is not as well known is that Bayer also has a proven track record with neighborhood and power centers, two key asset groups we are focused on growing within the portfolio,” Schneider said. “Eastgate Center presents a tremendous opportunity to deliver the wants and needs of the local consumer looking for a convenient and enjoyable shopping experience.”
